Big Brothers Big Sisters of Stratford and District enriches children and volunteers through mentoring opportunities.
Vision
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Stratford and District will partner in Perth County to build stronger community relationships, deliver customized programs and services, attract and retain volunteers and secure sustainable funding.
Our Vision Statement speaks to what we cal the pillars/the foundation of our agency. These areas must be developed and nurtured if any organization and/or business is to become the very best they can be. These pillars are:
- Strong and vibrant community relationships
- Sound relationships begin with clear expectations and ongoing communications
- Effective partnership means that they are win – win
- Strong and broad partnerships equal greater solutions and opportunities - Effective programming has its roots in customization (like our Arts, Skill-Based and Project-Based Programs)
- Children, volunteers, and communities (including partners & funders) have diverse and unique needs, to meet these needs Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to the flexibility of program design that meet their goals. - Volunteers are the backbone of our agency. Without mentors, without champions, the children we serve would not have anyone to inspire them to dream, to provide them with a roadmap, and to encourage them as they strive to reach their full potential.
- Our agency is committed to providing volunteers a unique experience that will impact on their own well-being and help them discover their own magic.
- We are committed to helping our community understand that mentoring is one of the easiest and effective ways to support children and youth.

We believe that if we honour the above principles our partners and the community, will help make certain that we have the needed resources to ensure that our team can deliver on our promise to provide the professional infrastructures and supports to every child, volunteer, and partner.
