Annual Picnic
Every year we get all of our Big Brothers Big Sisters friends together at the Annual Picnic in the park! We send out special invitations to all our Little Brothers, Little Sisters, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Go Girls!, In-School Mentors and Mentees, School Based Program Participants, Parents, Community Partners, Sponsors and all other volunteers and friends! Then we have a picnic and play games to celebrate the good times we’ve had.
The 2011 Annual Picnic in the Park happened on June 12th and everyone had a great time! We met at Upper Queens Park for an afternoon of fun, food, and entertainment! A big thank-you to Sobeys Stratford for donating the hamburgers and hotdogs, to Brad Rickert for barbequeing all afternoon, and too all the families and volunteers who brought salads and deserts. Thank-you to Ellen, Erin and Emily for planning some fun activities including the balloon game and scavenger hunt. And to Robin in the Hood, WOW! The entertainment was amazing! Your shows were a lot of fun, and the children (young and not so young) had a great time learning the skills of swords.
